Returning Student For Almost 10 Years!

 

We had the privilege last week of welcoming back Suzanne Philpott to our new training centre for refresher STCW training. Suzanne first completed the STCW full training with us in 2010 and has returned since then on many occasions to update her qualifications.

 

Suzanne has been a shinning example of what drives us here at Seascope. With no previous experience of working away at sea, Suzanne from Northamptonshire, completed her training with us and was able to find employment on a cruise ship and has not looked back since going from strength to strength.

 

Starting back in 2010 Suzanne joined one of many companies we work alongside, Peel Talent, as an entertainment host on board a Thompson cruise ship. After working hard and gaining experience Suzanne has risen through the ranks obtaining the role of Assistant Cruise Director and going on to be promoted to her current role as Cruise Director on board a ship for Marella Cruises. Asked would she recommend working away at sea to others Suzanne said “Yes, it is a great atmosphere to work in. I have built relationships that will last a lifetime and have been able to see different parts of the world”. With a C.V. that is now filled with a wealth of experience and prestigious job roles Suzanne now has multiple options both offshore and onshore to progress further in the future.

 

We asked Suzanne what her training experience with Seascope has been like “I have always found the training to be really clear and engaging.
